Maiden voyage this AM. Bear came over for an early spin. Great views, lots of bear tracks (actual animal tracks), and an oncoming rider going over the bars (he didn't see us until after I had already avoided him and gone around him after which he death gripped the brakes and launched himself).

Steep Thrills
Got out with the Dillards today and rode some really fun singletrack. There was a lot of steep climbing involved but the singletrack payoff was excellent. When I got home there was a box with something neat inside. Stay tuned.

Solo
It was another early morning with little sleep. Still having some apnea issues with the little one that keep us on watch 24-7. Feel like I'm ready to apply for a position at NORAD. Some type of pattern and schedule is slowly forming and allowing us to go about a somewhat normal sleep deprived day. This AM it was solo mission. I love the solitude and time to think out whatever is going on in the brain. Popped in the Skullcandy and rolled out (I only ride with one in and only on certain trails).
The moon was still high in the sky and made for some really spectacular views the little camera can't capture.
Rolled along the waterways and caught a glimpse of the sun rising. No trail traffic today.
Apparently there were others out on trail just glad there was no encounter.
Shot of the south side of the river where BLM is paving the old rail bed into a trail. Thinking that would be a fine place to roller ski.
At waters edge taking in the view.
Trying out a new tire up front. So far so good in the loose stuff. Still prefer the ride quality of the Michelin treads from Kelli.

Vast
I'm not a all out DH guy but still appreciate the skills on two wheels. Would love to see this film or even better ride along that glacier.
Week in Food
This week was spent playing around with some different sauces and one all time favorite: Noodles. Worked on a peanut sauce that ended up tasting less peanutty than preferred. Tried a masala sauce that worked well with naan (Been cooking since the master chef wife is tied up with the teeny tiny one). Also got some new Clif bar samples that were mighty tasty (JF: those chocolate chip bars are mighty good if you don't eat yours I will!).
Warming Up
Been warming up around here which means more water time and early rides. Not looking forward to when it gets hot here.
