Riding Again!

I was finally able to get out for a ride this week. With the girls at home we finally settled into somewhat of a schedule. With three hours of sleep I went out riding with my friend Bear. We hit TGR to County Line to H-Ridge. We are still getting rain here and there which makes for really great dirt and spectacular wildflowers but the humidity is something else.

The storms over the winter knocked down a lot of trees but the locals in the area are allowed to go up and cut up downed trees for firewood. It's usually a mad chainsaw death match dash to get the prime cuts but it's nice because the trails and fireroads get cleared quickly.

Sola looking pretty small compared to this root system

It was nice to get out and again and hit the bigger climbs in the area. Body was pretty haggard and it felt like the gearing was stuck in one ring: The Suffering!

Didn't matter. It was great to get out ride. As my friend BVB says "Even the worst day on your bike is better than the best day indoors."
